Highland Heritage Estate Riesling is a compelling example of what the Orange wine region in New South Wales does better than almost anywhere else in Australia. Situated at elevations of up to 900 metres above sea level in the Central Tablelands, Orange's cool climate and volcanic soils create ideal conditions for producing Riesling of exceptional intensity, elegance and longevity — and Highland Heritage Estate is one of the region's standout producers.

Pale gold with youthful green tints, the bouquet is elegant and intense with smoky citrus lime and floral varietal characteristics that immediately signal cool-climate origins. The palate is vibrant and focused, with youthful, intense Riesling fruit filling the length of the palate, beautifully balanced by a long, crisp, clean mineral acidity and lingering hints of smoky lime that carry through to a refreshing, precise finish.

Extremely enjoyable now alongside fresh oysters, yabbies, grilled white fish or Asian-inspired dishes — but this wine has the structure and acidity to gain remarkable complexity and depth over the next 6 to 10 years in the cellar.
