Jim Barry Watervale Riesling is one of Australia's most celebrated and consistently awarded white wines — a Clare Valley icon that has been setting the benchmark for Australian Riesling since its first release in 1974. Produced from select parcels of vines in the tiny village of Watervale, located fifteen kilometres south of Clare township in South Australia, this is a wine with a genuine sense of place and a half-century of pedigree behind it.

The Watervale sub-region is internationally renowned for producing Rieslings of exceptional quality, and Jim Barry's meticulous approach — picking fruit that achieves full ripeness while retaining naturally high acid levels — is the key to the wine's signature freshness and longevity. On the nose, aromas of lemon, grapefruit juice, brown lime and white flowers combine with a lick of mineral and wet slate that speaks directly to the region's ancient soils. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with vibrant flavours of grapefruit and citrus rind lifted by a white floral note and a long, clean mineral finish.
